CERATIZIT Product Lines
Turning Inserts
CERATIZIT’s turning insert range features the Dragonskin™ coating platform, a proprietary multi-layer CVD/PVD technology that combines a tough inner layer with a hard, wear-resistant outer layer. The CTCP series covers steel turning with grades CTCP335 (roughing), CTCP235 (general purpose), and CTCP135 (finishing). The CTCM series is dedicated to stainless steel machining with PVD-coated sharp edges. The CTCK cast iron grades feature thick Al2O3 coatings for excellent abrasion resistance. CERATIZIT turning inserts are available in all standard ISO shapes including CNMG, WNMG, DNMG, and CCMT with optimized chipbreaker geometries for roughing through finishing.
Milling Cutters
CERATIZIT’s milling portfolio includes the Ceratool indexable face mill series with 45-degree and 90-degree lead angles. The Dragonskin™ Mill family features end mills and face mills with the proprietary Dragonskin coating for extended tool life in demanding milling applications. Following the KOMET acquisition, CERATIZIT also offers the KOMET JBSF solid carbide end mill range with variable helix geometry and the KOMET KUB Centron modular drilling and milling system. The MaxiMill series provides high-feed and face milling solutions with Dragonskin-coated inserts.
Drilling Tools
Through the KOMET acquisition, CERATIZIT now offers the renowned KOMET KUB® indexable drill system, one of Europe’s most successful drilling platforms. KUB® drills feature self-centering geometry with internal coolant delivery in 2xD, 3xD, 5xD, and 8xD configurations. The KOMET QuaterDrill provides a cost-effective drilling solution with four cutting edges per insert. CERATIZIT also offers the KOMET Reamer range for precision hole finishing, achieving IT6-IT7 tolerances with excellent surface finish.
Grooving & Threading
CERATIZIT offers grooving inserts in the CeraGrip system with double-ended inserts for external grooving and parting-off. Widths range from 2 to 6 mm with Dragonskin™ coating for extended tool life. The CeraThread range provides threading inserts in partial and full-profile geometries for metric and Whitworth thread forms. CERATIZIT’s Dragonskin coating on threading inserts significantly improves tool life in stainless steel and hardened material threading.
